About
Don Durkheim is an AI research engineer and the co-founder and President of Entelon, an AI company in Kigali, Rwanda, that builds AI products and custom AI systems for businesses and institutions across Africa. He co-owns the company with co-founder Alain Barsime.
At Entelon, Durkheim directs product development and works across system design, backend and AI engineering. He leads the company’s research on speech and language models and has built or led Mamora AI, Visko, Klok AI, HeyRwanda and Phibram.
Durkheim is a student at Rwanda Coding Academy. Before that he studied at Collège Saint André, where he led the software department of the school’s FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Tech Challenge teams; in 2024 the FLL team placed in the national top 4 and won the Best Innovation Award. With teammates from that team he co-organized Ladybug FRC, Rwanda’s first FIRST Robotics Competition team, where he leads the software department: robot simulation and CAD in Fusion 360.
